Pioneer Rates

When you receive your invoice there may be numerous different charges depending on what kind of service we provide for you. Here is a list of the common services broken down and explained, along with the cost of each service. 

Technician Call Out: We charge $169.00 for the call out. This charge accounts for the technician's travel time taken to get to the job. This fee will also cover all equipment charges as we have eliminated all other fees. 

Our hourly rate - $158.00 / hour: We charge $158 / hour for our experienced plumbing or hvac technicians time. We bill in ½ hour increments rounding up to the nearest half hour. We feel that our rates are competitively priced for our industry. 

Materials Used: If you find a “material” charge on your invoice it will show one total price for all materials used on your job. The materials used on your job have been marked up to account for our warranty should the part come with a manufacturer defect. If a customer would like to supply their own parts this is no problem, however, we will not warranty customer supplied parts. Our vans are fully stocked with the most commonly used materials, but there are several parts that we wont have with us. The time to pick these materials up are part of the service and will be charged at our hourly rate.

Please note: Our technicians all carry common Plumbing or HVAC materials in their vans, however they cannot have every part (there are thousands of different fittings and specialty pieces). In the event that a technician needs to leave your job to purchase additional materials, we charge for our time to do this at our hourly rate.

Helper - $90 / Hour: On some occasions, the technician that is sent to your home has been paired up with a helper. The helper is a plumbing apprentice who has experience in the trade and often helps make the job go faster and smoother. Helpers are charged out at $90.00 / hr. Helpers are sent when we receive “two man jobs”. An example of a two man job would be a larger sewer blockage where a large machine is required, camera work where the locater is to be used, any work in sumps or dangerous areas where if something happened someone needs to be around to help. In the event the job is a one person job and there is no need for a helper, the helper charge will not get billed to you.

Administration Fee: Every invoice is subject to our 7% administration fee. This helps us cover the behind‐the‐scenes costs of providing same-day and the 5 star service that we strive for.

At Pioneer, we offer 24 hour emergency service

At Pioneer, we offer 24 hour emergency service. We like to be there for our customers whenever they need us. Our emergency rates are $158 / half hour plus $299 call out. Emergency rates are applied outside the hours of 8am - 6pm, Monday - Friday.

When we come for emergency service, things to keep in mind:

• Our technicians vans are stocked with common plumbing parts, however, since there are so many brand specific parts on the market we may not always have the part we need on hand. And because the job is after hours, the repair part may not be available until the nearest business day.
• In some cases our technicians will do a temporary fix for a customer. Something to get them through the night or weekend. There may be a few reasons for this
• When special parts are not available till the following day/weekday
• When the repair work is quite involved and will require more than one technician
• When the customer would like to minimize the emergency time (double rate) on site and have us come back during regular hours.  

We ask customers to please be 100% sure when scheduling an emergency call. Due to high cost of sending out our technicians after hours we must charge the minimum charge once our tech arrives on site. Overall, our goal is to diagnose and repair the issue in the most time and cost effective way.
